nanoES mass spectrometry

The reaction was conducted inside the spraying capillary. It was started by adding one microlitre of enzyme solution to ten microlitres substrate solution. Subsequently, the reaction solution was filled into an opened NANOES capillary. The final concentrations of enzyme and substrate are given in the respective sections. The sample was filled into the capillary using using microloader tips. Subsequently, the capillary was placed in the spray source using the NANOES source (described in 3.2.1). Full ion scans were performed. The instrument parameters are shown in table 2.1.

From the data acquired, the ion intensity for the compounds monitored were extracted using Multiview to obtain the extracted ion currents (XIC). The XIC data was converted to plain text and processed with gnuplot or xmgr.
